The Power of Gratitude: How Gratitude Makes Parenting Easier

Gratitude is incredibly powerful! In fact, it’s a must when it comes to parenting! Gratitude lower stress levels - not only with just you, but your entire family! Ready to find that one thing that actually helps calm that need to feel busy. We all possess the superpower of gratitude that can help us decrease stress and increase calm and peace, even in the center of a very busy day. (Isn’t that every day?) 

Taking time out of our day to actively practice gratitude is a brain-changer, literally, and a way to level up our lives and happiness. This podcast takes you through my journey of three experiences that led me to the topic of gratitude today, and why stopping to smell the gratitude roses can change your life, your brain, and make you a better you.

  • I know sometimes we get so busy in life, we, we just, it sort of falls to the wayside, but it, what it can do for you and for your family and for your kids as far as wiring their brains to be happy, healthy, successful. (06:04)

  • Gratitude is just amazing when it comes to our body health. It helps us sleep better. It helps us feel less aches and pains, which is amazing. It improves our physical health... (10:08)

  • There are, those times in your life, and I'm sure you all had them, where the gratitude is almost overwhelming. I wasn't planning on starting my day like this. And, and then it happened. I can feel it in my body. That deep core sense of gratitude. (15:51)

  • Sometimes we make life so complicated and to just take it down and make it so much simpler and be grateful for the things that we have.  (18:59)

  • You having an active practice of gratitude will help wire your brain in your hypothalamus so that it regulates those bodily functions and improves your metabolism. Yes, please. Thank you. (22:42)

  • And if you have a Kiddo that has a hard time thinking of grateful thoughts, this just starting with basic bodies, so from the toes and then we'll work our way up. Um, that might be just an easy way to do it.  (26:32)

  • As I'm saying this, she is starting to tear up and I'm like, Oh gosh, now I've offended her. Oh, I feel terrible. And she teared up and she looked at me and she's like, you do not know how much I needed to hear that today. (33:10)
